Stadler KISS (formerly Stadler DOSTO) is a double-decker electric train manufactured by Stadler Rail. The Swiss Federal Railways launched the first copies in 2010, and since then it has been available in several countries in various suburban, long-distance, three-, four- or six-part versions. It was launched in Hungary as the MÁV 815 series for the first time in 2020.

In 2017, MÁV-Start entered into a framework agreement with Stadler for the purchase of a maximum of 40 6-segment suburban trains, of which 11 were called on lines 70 and 100a as a first installment, followed by another 8 in 2018. In 2019, the remaining 21 motor trains from the option quantity were also called. The first specimens were delivered to MÁV-Start in the summer of 2019, where they took part in running tests and an approval procedure.

The first train was launched on 15 March 2020 on the Budapest-Cegléd-Szolnok railway line. Delivery of the full 40-piece series is expected to take place by the end of 202. [9] On March 16, 2020, Stadler repatriated its foreign employees due to the introduction of the Hungarian border lock ordered due to the COVID coronavirus epidemic, so the KISS motor train plant was suspended from March 17 to August 23 due to the inability to supervise the required technical supervision. They have been operating on Hungarian railways again since 24 August 2020.
