GWR Cornwall England Railway Branch Session 4
GWR Cornwall England Railway Branch Session
Diesel and Steam Locomotives Display issue 4.
This is session is a demonstration of steam and diesel powered rolling stock running along the main and branch lines.
Features the BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 steam locomotive.
The British Railways BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 is a class of steam locomotive that was the last in a series of the standardised locomotive classes designed in the 1950's for British Railways by Robert Riddles.
This locomotive was intended for use on fast, heavy freight trains over long distances.
It was one of the most powerful steam locomotive types ever constructed in Britain, and successfully performed its intended duties.
At various times during the 1950's the standard 9Fs worked passenger trains with great success, indicating the versatility of the design, sometimes considered to represent the ultimate in British steam development.
Several experimental variants were constructed in an effort to reduce costs and maintenance, although these met with varying degrees of success.
Your job as a train controller is to observe and make sure that the trains get to their designated destination points.
Weather conditions, date and time can be changed by using the QuickDrive menu in driver mode.
