SAR centenary car - #1
SAR Centenary carriage - #1
The Centenary Cars were introduced by the South Australian Railways in 1936, being the year South Australia celebrated its Centenary. The first ones were converted from carriages from the Glenelg Railway and the rest were converted from the 'end loader' suburban cars. In revenue service, they had a First Class and a Second Class compartment. They saw service on all broad gauge lines, from Bridgewater local trains to country passenger services to Tailem Bend, Willunga, Port Pire and the Barossa lines. In very recent years some continue to be utilised by Steam Ranger on the Cockle Train which runs between Goolwa and Victor Harbour.
Converted to TRS from the MSTS model created by Alexander Jamieson.
See the original readme file for information from the original author. Some information in it is specific to MSTS (such as recognitions for physics and packaging, and installation installation notes), but most is still relavent. The license in the config.txt applies only to the 'converted' model. The license in the 'original-readme.txt' does still stand for the original files, and any un-modified files.
