VR WT water tank - Broad Gauge
Constructed between 1897-1902/1912-1915 the WT water tank wagons were used all over the VR system to transport water for both locomotives (as a water gin) and for domestic use. They were generally used in areas with no permanent water supply. The letters DW applied to the wagon indicated it was for 'Domestic Water' meaning it was drinkable, those without could be used in normal service, where they were often used for replenishing steam locomotive tender tanks.
This model represents the VR WT wagon, numbers 101-205 without the 'DW' lettering (domestic water). This model has broad gauge wheel sets applied, and uses the ACS script to control couplers, brake hoses, handbrake, tail lamp and tail disc, and NumberIt to control automatic numbering. The wagon also has an animated water load and filler hatch cover.

This model is setup with buffers and transition couplers (3 link coupler attached to the top of an auto coupler), and can be used to couple hook and link rolling stock to auto coupled stock.
