VR N Ballast Plough #2
The VR N Ballast Plough number two was converted from ex 'wooden' U van #231's chassis in 1953. This wagon was then used for spreading ballast untill the 1970s when they were replaced by self propelled ballast ploughs.
The plough on this wagon can be raised and lowered by the pantograph key.
