RBMN coach #302

Pullman heavyweight cars of the 1920's were to replace the old wood cars. They were built from 1910 to 1931 by the Pullman-Standard Mfg. Co. This one is a coach made for DL&W in 1917 and sold to the Blue Mountain & Reading Railroad in 1984 by NJ Transit, BM&R formed a new division Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern in 1990 with the acquistion of ex-Reading track from Conrail north of Reading, PA into Schuylkill County. RBMN has 9 of these coaches in service today for passenger excursion operations, they originally started out with 15 of them in 1984. Excursions started July 13, 1985 between South Hamburg and Temple, PA and excursions on Conrail were also operated between 1985 and 1988 excluding 1986 mostly with ex-Reading T-1 2102, as well as PRR E8's and Reading GP30 and Alco Century 630. The real coaches are 70ft long, but this was the closest model I could find.
