GNER MK4 Mallard (TOD)

GNER Mark 4 (TOD) Mallard.

The Mark 4 coaching stock was introduced onto the East Coast Mainline services to coincide with electrification. Built by Metro Cammell between 1989 and 1991, they carried Intercity Swallow until privatisation in 1994, when responsibility for East Coast Mainline express passenger services was given to the Great North Eastern Railway (GNER). Between 2003 and 2006 project Mallard, added red high-visibility doors to the navy and red stripe GNER livery. A redvised interior was also included.

The model matches the original post-Mallard configuration. From summer 2006 revised labels on the door surrounds began to be carried.
