GNER MK4 (TO)

GNER Mark 4 (TO).

The Mark 4 coaching stock was introduced onto the East Coast Mainline services to coincide with electrification. Built by Metro Cammell between 1989 and 1991, they carried Intercity Swallow until privatisation in 1994, when responsibility for East Coast Mainline express passenger services was given to the Great North Eastern Railway (GNER).

The exterior texture matches the original GNER livery of navy with a red stripe. This was carried until Project Mallard, the train's midlife update which started in 2003 and finished in 2006. The interior of the model has a Mallard seating configuration.
