NS 'Indy' Dist

The NS Indanapolis District is an ex-Southern Railway line, built in 1930. The line was used by a subsidy of Southern RwY called the Indanaipolis and Southern. It conneced to the Pennsy and New York Central in Indanapolis giving a direct connetion to Chicago. The line is busy with around 20+ freights a day, intermodel, Autoracks, and mixed freights. Plus several coal, and unit trains. The line is based in the early to mid 90s with NS. The line interchanges with Conrail, CSX and Paducah and Lousiville along the way. The route operates in Louisville to Indanapolis.
