DB 629 Ep. V

'The railcars of series 628 with only one machine proved to be as plenty weak. Especially for the line Mainz-Alzey were five double-motorized sets procured to perform the tight timetables. A sixth set was created later by converting a cab control coach into a motorized railcar. The train consist
of two railcars, a 628.9 (identical to 628.4) and 629. The 629 is basically identical with the 628.4 but has a 1st-class compartment and no toilet.
