Carson Old Engine House, ca 1907

The original Virginia and Truckee engine house in Carson City as shown in a 1907 fire insurance map; with the front cupola removed.
The building was on the corner of Caroline and Mountain Streets. Built in 1870, by now it was used primarily for rolling stock storage. It served until the end of the railroad in 1950.
