Standard Central Pacific / Virginia and Truckee design; this particular example represents the Virginia & Truckee Railroad turntable in Virginia City, NV from 1876 through 1890.
The pit dirt is a relatively close match to 'oz sand'.
Revision 2: updated the table and pit models; improved the stub track placement and angles.
