Limerick Junction
Limerick Junction is located half way on the Dublin-Cork line. From its openning in 1848 until CIE relayed the track and altered the station layout in 1967,every train on the Dublin-Cork mainline had to reverse into its single long island platform. This is an accurate recreation of the junction after these 1967 alterations. The station layout at Limerick Junction allows 4 trains to stand at the different faces of the one island platform. Plenty of interesting train movements can be achieved with this trackwork. It also includes the two famous North & South flat crossings. It's a 4 way junction allowing you to merge it with another layout/route from any angle from north, south, east & west. Designed really for UK rolling stock,is the most suitable,as it represents a typical british countryside aswell. Enjoy
