IOW Summer Service to Ventnor (Ride)
A ferry full with holiday makers has just arrived at Ryde Pier Head. To carry the crowds two trains depart Ryde Pier Head within a few minutes of one another. This is an automated session, allowing you to observe the passing of trains however you wish. The session lasts for just over 2 hours- the time taken for the 12:50 service to complete a return trip from Ryde Pier Head to Ventnor.
This session is based upon the real 1936 Working Timetable. I have replicated every service shown on this document as accurately as I can, although I have had to use guesswork in a few places. It is a good demonstration of just how hectic the island's railways were at their peak!
