Set in a western motiff around 1890 - this small 3 ft narrow gauge RR serves to main industries - it is the rail-head for cattle drives from the south where they are shipped by cattle cattle cars to Bovine, and large copper processing plant both in town of Big Sky.
There is a climb that is intended for geared engines (Shay, Climax) to Summit Station(at 182ft elevation - steady 2.2% grade) and the copper fields (12 mines). The mountain has been riddled with copper mining and the last of the vein lies at the summit of this stepped table rock mountain.
On the far side of mountain(known as Table Rock-elevation - 266ft) in the town of Bovine is located the Holt & Sons Beef Processing plant. Two interchanges with Main Line standard gauge at Bovine and Whistle stop of Table Rock. Enjoy!
