curved corners for model layout
Just a few idea's for the corners of a table top layout. Set the radius for the size of the rolling stock you are using. Raise the top to the height required, this example is 55, use the dighole 1x1 tool to remove the sides,if making curved corners leave the the top square, fit the fascia to shape and use the dighole tool to remove the excess material. If you remove too much of the top you will have holes to fill in which will not match the surounding area (see the small hole by the 4 tracks at the back) whoops. Fit the floor last or you will keep on getting messages about the splines not matching, when laying the floor rais it off the base a little bit, 0.05 will be enough. The size of the room is 2x2 bases, the walls are 2 bases long which will give you a track length of 4700ft.
There is a wooden support system which is quite difficullt to assembly, assemble the frame to the size you require on the base, assemble the frame so that the edges are on a black (half square) line, the dighole tool will take the yellow line. Cross your fingers and raise the top, the frame will raise up with the top, then lower each piece so it just dissapears. Or use the black legs. Good Luck
