Leeds to Sheffield - LMS

This is the LMS Route from Leeds to Sheffield. During this period, the North of England was criss crossed by several railway companies each with their own tracks. Included are their tracks and sidings however, Leeds Central Station, together with all lines that cross the Leeds/Sheffield main line, or branch off to the edge of a board, or branch off into a siding, serve no functional purpose to this route and are therefore not configured for rail traffic.

This original Route was a joint effort by Harry Spurr (in England) using his knowledge of tracks & signalling gained during his 47 years on the footplate, and by Colin Chappell (in Canada) using his artistic skill on the scenic aspects of the project. This route logged more miles criss-crossing the Atlantic Ocean than most of you will ever log running trains on it!
