Leeds - Sheffield (Early BR) TC3

This is the route from Leeds to Sheffield as it was in the 1940's/1950's when steam ruled. During this period, the North of England was criss crossed by several railway companies each with their own tracks. We have included their tracks and sidings however, Leeds Central Station, together with all lines that cross the Leeds/Sheffield main line, or branch off to the edge of a board, or branch off into a siding, serve no functional purpose to this route and are therefore not configured for rail traffic.

IMPORTANT: Please read the 'Read Me' file in the Route folder for other instructions and information.

This has been a joint effort by Harry Spurr (in England) using his knowledge of tracks & signalling gained during his 47 years on the footplate, and by Colin Chappell (in Canada) using his artistic skill on the scenic aspects of the project. This route has, during development, logged more miles criss-crossing the Atlantic Ocean than most of you will ever log running trains!'
