SF lime kilns

Lime kilns for reducing limestone to slaked lime. Based on plans dated about 1870 for those at Carnlough, Co. Down, Ireland, but similar to those built throughout the British Isles. Add a suitable industry track to accept coal and limestone, and to produce slaked lime. The product was used in the iron and steel industry, and for making concrete and lime wash for rendering and plastering walls.
