SF Thames barge

Static scenery model of a Thames barge ('swim barge'), many of which are still in use. They were a common sight on the Thames, and other dock areas from the end of the 19th century through to the dominance of the ubiquitous container in the 1960s/1970s. They were often tied up together in multiples and beached on the mud at low tide.
