East Cornwall & Branches - 0840 Plymouth to Gunnislake
A morning journey on the scenic Tamar Valley Line in Devon/Cornwall. Once out of Plymouth the line heads North and runs along side the scenic Tamar River, the Border of Devon & Cornwall. The St Budeaux to Bere Alston section was on the LSWR mainline to London via Okehampton, a fairly fast section. The Bere Alston to Gunnislake section is on which was the Callington branch, being cut back in 1966, a much slower contour hugging steeper line, the highlight being the Calstock Viaduct where the line crosses into Cornwall. Length: 14 Miles, Journey Time: 45 Minutes. 9 Stations.
