Yosemite Valley RR v1.0

Yosemite Valley Railroad is a standard guage short line built in 1907. It ran 77.7 miles from Merced, CA to El Portal at the entrance to Yosemite N.P. It provided passenger service to the park before adaquate highways were built. The YVRR also carried US mail and many freight products including cattle, produce, forest products, concrete, lead, and precious metals. In 1947 operations on the YVRR ceased and it was dismantled.
