Police Box Met Wartime

This is a representation of a Metropolitan Police telephone box. The version modelled here is the familiar Mark 2 design, a small number of which remained in use until the 1980s. However, most were demolished during the 1960s and 1970s as they wer rendered obsolete by the introduction of personal radios.

This version is designed for use during the years 1939-1945. There is no nightmode (in order to comply with blackout regulations) and the window frames have been painted white.
