Dual Gauge Roundhouse 2

By 1944 one of the two roundhouses in Salida, Colorado on the D&RGW had been removed and other modified and
added to. This is based on that facility around 1944. It is not intended to be an exact replica. This dual gauge engine facility was
made from a plot plan showing the trackage and (very) basic structure dimensions. The plot plan doesn't show which tracks were
standard gauge, narrow gauge, or dual gauge. I assume the tracks on the turntable were 4 rail to keep the engine weight centered
and simplify alignment. No power plant appears on the plot plan as power was probably supplied by the local electrical grid.
This item includes:
1. 100 ft 4-rail dual gauge turntable.
2. 17 stall roundhouse (original)
3. 8 stall longer roundhouse (added).
4. Separate engine repair shop (added).
5. Three invisible tracks from the turntable for outside storage if desired. They will change to whatever is connected to them.
All tracks can be changed between gauges so you can make the entire item all standard gauge, all narrow gauge, or any combination
in between. Vary the ratio of standard to narrow gauge stalls by changing the kuid for the rail only track for each stall. Tracks are
numbered counter-clockwise from 0 to 29 with track-0 being the standard gauge track at the far end of the wood roundhouse.
Track-30 is the rail on the turntable. Three invisible tracks are provided for additional access to the turntable if desired. They will
change to whatever is attached to them. The track inside the machine shop are track-31 and track-32. I did not connect them to
tracks 6 and 7 because the plot plan shows a switch on track 7. Connecting tracks need to be installed in Surveyor (with or without
the switch). To remove the machine shop and internal tracks, remove track-31 and track-32 sections from the attached-track part
of the config file and remove part_7 section from the mesh table. The plot plan shows the main line going behind the roundhouse.
This item is designed for use with Elvenors MAN6 track components and three different rail-only tracks made by Linda Irene Tingvik
(shortline2) to closely match MAN6 components. Many thanks to her for her help. The texture surrounding the turntable pit is MAN
dirt2 and matches the ballast on MAN6 track components. MAN6 stub switches are available on the DLS.
MAN6 components are:
kuid:63290:38013 Standard Gauge only.

kuid:63290:38016 Narrow GaugeTrack
kuid:63290:38017 4 rail Track
kuid:63290:38102 Invisible Track
kuid:63290:21111 MAN dirt2
Rail only tracks by shortline2 are:
kuid:77573:38351 Narrow Gauge rail only.
kuid:77573:38004 Standard Gauge rail only.
kuid:77573:38519 Standard gauge and narrow gauge 4-rail only.
See the readme file in the MAN6 Dual Gauge track file for instructions on how to use these components.
