Rose_Oil_Column_1

This is based on the Rose Oil Column as designed for and used on the Southern Pacific
Railroad to re-fuel its oil burning locomotives. The base of the delivery spout is 17 ft above the ground
so it should clear the top of an engine if its rotate to place the spout over the tracks. It is not
animated or interactive. The SP appears to have started burning bunker C in its oil fired locos as early
as the late 1870s but its was so thick it had to be pre heated to 150 degrees to get it to flow.
