16 in US Howitzer F Bogey

This unusual 10-wheel bogey is intended to be used on the 16 inch US railcar mounted howitzer
at the front (barrel end). I believe the mechinery on the deck is for returning the car to it pre-firing position.
Barrel recoil would have been around 60 inches but car recoil would have been 10 to 20 feet depending on the weight
of the shell and number of powder bags used.
