This map was originally made by fishlipsatwork, the original is also still available here on the Download Station, all 45 miles of the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge railroad, it ain't an easy route to make for sure.

This route only runs from Rockwood, Colorado to Cascade, Colorado, there is one water stop at Tank Creek tank, the speed limit over the Highline is 8 miles per hour, your 400 feet above the Las Animas River, its an exciting trip back in time.

Carved out of the shear cliffs of the Rio De Las Animas De Pardidas, ie. River of the canyon of lost souls, the D&RG built this line to Silverton to tap the silver mines of the area in the 1880's, today, this is one of the most well ridden, most photographed areas in the US .


Some of the kuid's for this route are found on Prowler901's San Juan Trainz website, but other than those few small items, everything necessary to work the route should be on the Download Station.
