Rand Henty
The Henty to Rand Branch was opened in 1920 and closed in 1989. It runs for 53km. South West of Henty into the Riveruna na between the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers. The last train ran in 1987. The main traffic was grain, superphosphate, and stock. In the early days up to the fifties there was a lot of passenger traffic too. Rand lies on Billabong Creek and was originally called Billabong. Henty was originally called Doodle Cooma named after the Swamp to the South West of the Town Topography is by TrainzDEM from Dr. Ziegler, pioneer houses are from SirGibby's Site, animated people are from Neoklai75's Russian Railway Site.
