The Port Welshpool tramway ran from Welshpool Station on the South Gippsland Line to Port Welshpool Pier. It opened on 26-6-1905 and closed on1-1-1841. The gauge was 2'-6'. The main equipment were 2 goods-cum-passenger cars with cross seats and a forward facing seat for the driver. There were also two goods traileer vehicles to be attached behing the passenger cars. The main goods were fish products from Port Welshpool, transhipped to the Train to Melbourne from Yarram. There were also inward goods and brave passengers ready to tackle the grade crossing of the main line at Welshpool . The line was about 5km. long. The Mainline is shown from Agnes to Hedley.
