CN Buffaloe 40ft Boxcar
The heaviest graincar permitted across the Hudson Bay
tundra was the 40-ft boxcar. Thousands were assigned to carry the anual grain crop to Churchill. By the mid-1980's
Canadian National rebuilt about 2,000 boxcars at CN's backshop in Winnipeg. They were nicknamed Buffaloes because
of the Manitoba buffalo symbol. With barely 10 years service they were sent for scrap. - Reskin by Rebeltech
