Penn Central SW7 #9082
The Penn Central #9082 was built in 1950 and was originally bought by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) and numbered 9387. After a while of service, it was renumbered the #9082.
In 1968, the PRR merged with the NYC to form Penn Central, so the #9082, like all the other former PRR SW7s was repainted into a new black Penn Central paint job, and continued service.
In 1976, after a while of financial trouble, Penn Central was forced to merge with Conrail. Again the #9082 was repainted, this time into the blue Conrail paint job. It countined service for many years afterward...
It was later scrapped in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.
