Sign Stop Sign Yellow

This is a Black-on-Yellow Stop sign. Yellow stop signs were the official design of stop signs in the U. S. A. from 1924 to 1954, when the signs were recolored to the white-on-red design that we are all familiar with today, although the yellow signs continued to be used until 1966. This variety uses the FHWA Series C font for the word 'STOP', so it dates no earlier than around 1945, as the FHWA Series fonts were introduced around that time (they were developed by the Public Roads Administration (predecessor to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) during the Second World War). The mounting height of this sign is around 3 feet, which was typical for these signs. The sign is mounted in the middle of the wooden post (I am assuming that that is where the signs would have been mounted, because I based this model off of a photo of a yellow stop sign which can be viewed at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Yellow_stop_sign.jpg). This model uses no alpha channels for maximum quality.

TIP: Since this sign is mounted so close to the ground, you might wanna adjust your road so it doesn't float above the ground (example: if you're using Auran's roads (or compatible) and your ground height is 0.00, apply a vertex height of -0.40 meters to flatten it to the ground). ;-)

This sign can be tilted in Trainz versions TRS2004 and later.
