Somerset And Dorset JR For TC3

'Forget motor cars, get rid of anxiety and dream again that Victorian dream which caused this long railway to be running through deepest, quietest, flattest, remotest, least spoiled Somerset.' Sir John Betjeman in his 1963 TV film Branch Line Railway.

This is SDJR which closed in January 1967. The line ran from Bath Green Park To Broadstone and on to the southerns network to Bournemouth. The S and D also had a Branch line to Highbridge and on to Burnham-on-Sea. There where then two smaller branchs to Wells and Bridgewater.

This Layout is bassed on the line in time period from 1925 to 1960 from when the LMS and SR inherted the line from the LSWR and MR.

The Layout includeds all the networks yards and extra once that where not in the TRS2006 version around the Bath Green Park Area and Extra housing built after the 1920. I have also resized Bath Green Park Station to make it more accuret

The route in LMS Days Locos included the SDJR 7F, LMS 4F, LMS 2P, Johnson 2F and 3F, Johnson 2P, Johnson 1P Tanks, LMS Jinty and Black 5s (For a short time from the end of WW2 Ivatt 4MTs appered on the S and D). In BR Days there where all of the above plus Bullied Light Pacifics, Standard 4MT (All Types) Standard 5, Standard 3 Tanks, Ivatt 2MT Tnaks, Collets goods, 57XX Pannier Tank, Stanier 8F and 9Fs.

This version of the SDJR requires some content from WWW.TRAINZCLASSICS.CO.UK
