The LOSSAN Corridor: Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner
It’s the time of year which marks the busiest season on the Surfline. Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner has now lengthened their trains from 5 cars to 8. What’s the reason? There is a new fair being hosted at Karrah Bay. A special train will operate from Halley River to a special station built on the fairgrounds. Besides passenger services increasing, freight service on CSX has jumped up. Union Pacific even gave CSX the famed heritage unit, UP 1989, to help.
