Cambridge to Huntingdon UK

A modern electrified semi-urban/rural route from Trumpington (just south of Cambridge), through Cambridge northwards, then branching off the mainline to St Ives and Huntingdon. Based on the actual route - now disused - with some 'new' track alignments, plus many artistic and practical liberties. (The real route is now a guided-busway - this Trainz route is my response to what should have been kept as a railway!) Those who know Cambridge station will recognise the long main platform and scissor crossover (this will play havoc with your AI trains so beware! - I've tried my best to overcome it with some Junction Controllers and Links), but you'll also notice a new fictional island platform designed for the extra Huntingdon trains (Platforms 3 & 4). The best trains to use for the route are 4-car EMUs. Please also download the accompanying session under the same name, which contains the configuration for the VSR signals. The layout is more-or-less complete, although minimal on scenery to keep my computer running. There maybe some mistakes here and there, for that I ask your patience. As far as I'm aware, there is one non-DLS asset, but it is not essential. Please do let me have your comments: [email protected] (Watch out for Part 2 from Cambridge to Ely in the future).
