Shefflex Railbus
Col. Stephens own railbus, which was in use on many branchlines. But this particular example was used on the West Sussex Railway, otherwise known as the Selsey Tramway. The other railbus to operate on the railway, was 2 Ford Model-T buses, with the road gear removed, and railway equipment in thier place.
The formation of these units tended to be 2 cars, coupled back to back, occasionally spotting a luggage wagon in the centre, for more passangers or even parcels and luggage. However, incorrect for this type of vehicle, with the way Trainz treats locos in multiple, one end was driven in neutral gear, as there was no reverse gearing!
The railbuses lasted until 1936, when the line closed, due to poor custom, and there are no preserved examples.
