These English Electric units were introduced to Wellington, New Zealand in 1938. Initialy used on the Wellington to
Johnsonville line, they were also later used on the Hutt Valley line. These models have the TranzMetro olive green/ivory livery introduced in the 1980's and the revised headlight moulding.
