NWR No.5 'James' (unlined red)

James is a mixed-traffic engine proud of his smart red paintwork. It's not a colour he's always worn though, but it is the colour he has worn the longest. In the third book of the series - his very own - and sporadically throughout Dalby's tenure, James' splashers were unlined, giving James a rather odd and thankfully brief look as replicated here.
