Tsurumi Line Project v3_50
This is the Tsurumi Line that runs through Yokohama. It is a point-to-point, electrified railway that has Tsurumi Station at the western end and Ogimachi Station on the eastern end. There is one branch that heads south to Umi-Shibaura Station and another that runs south to Okawa Station on an adjacent island. The line runs across the north ends of several artificial islands that jut into Tokyo Bay.
It is a passenger line, running short consists (1-3 cars) that service the hundreds of factories, shops, and docks that lie on these islands.
Tsurumi Station itself is an elevated station that is co-located with Keikyu Station on the Tokaido Main Line that runs south from Tokyo. Leaving line runs over an extensive yard on a through-truss bridge.
