GCR V4
Version 4 of the Great Central Railway, UK.
The route attempts to simulate the Great Central Railway, the Last Main Line in the UK. At present the route starts at Annesley (just south of Mansfield), passes through Nottingham Victoria, Leicester Central, Rugby Central, Woodford Halse, and terminates just south of Brackley.
It is therefore possible, for example, to run 'windcutters' between Annesley & Woodford.
GWR consists can access the GCR either through the route from Banbury at Culworth Junction or the SMJR line from Stratford on Avon at Woodford Halse.
Between Nottingham and Brackley the trackwork has been modified to resemble more closely the situation in BR days rather than the original trackwork. This should improve the opportunities for movements of consists etc.
The route is built to run in TS12 with the Settle & Carlisle Add-on. The route build is 61388 which incorporates patch SP1 and hotfixes HF1-4.
Please note that the route is still a Work in Progress and much work remains to be achieved with respect to scenery.
I would like to thank all the many content creators whose efforts have been used and especially the S&C team. My thanks are also due to Mr. Brian Netherwood for much help, advice and support.
I do hope that Trainzers will be able to have fun with the route. All comments and criticisms will be appreciated.
