Deronda Road, 1990's NSE era Model Trainz Layout
Deronda Road is a small model Trainz layout based in South London. Its set in the early 1990’s during the Network SouthEast era with 3rd rail electric multiple units. It’s a terminus station with 2 platforms and 2 carriage sidings. There is also a small Shell oil terminal and permanent way/civil engineering yard.
It’s at the end of a fictional branch line which roughly comes off from the Herne Hill and Tulse Hill areas however, could easily be anywhere on the Southern Region.
The name Deronda Road comes from an Elbow song which happens to be a road in Brixton, South London upon where the layout is based.
I have used Euromodeller’s “Model Railway Layout Minories Classic” barebones layout which was released under the creative commons licence, many thanks to Euromodeller for this.
