A colliery heapstead containing screens to separate 'small' from 'best' grade coal and picking belts to allow picking stone from the best coal. The interactive industry outputs are therefore 'small' coal, 'best' coal and stone. There are no defined industry inputs.

There are 4 loading roads passing under the building. Each loading road can load 4 wagons at a time under the low-lying loader attached to the heapstead. 1 road is labled 'Sm' (small), 1 road as 'St' (stone) and 2 roads as 'B'(best). Small and best coal and stone is produced jointly. Therefore if the industry process is to continue, all 3 outputs must be loaded into wagons. Best coal is produced at 4 times the rate of small coal and 8 times the rate of stone.

Gravity loading of wagons is under script control. The user of this asset must ensure that the empty sidings are kept supplied with empty wagons and the full sidings are cleared before they fill with loaded wagons. The industry process will stop if these conditions are not met.

Also important when placing this asset on a route, is the provision of appropriately-graded empty and full sidings to connect to the 4 fixed tracks. An outline of what is required is given in a separate User Manual issued with this asset.

The asset has 3 controls available to the user by opening Edit Properties in Surveyor. First, the side on which the access stairs sit can be toggled from left to right. Second, the visibility of the conveyor shed can be toggled. Third, compatibility with the Shedmaster rule can be enabled and disabled.
When connecting the heapstead to a remote pithead by conveyor belt, use Covered Conveyor <kuid:35412:60100> to <kuid:35412:60103>. When the heapstead is to be supplied from an adjacent enclosed pithead toggle the conveyor shed to invisibility and add assets Enclosed Pihead <kuid:368725:25011> and Colliery pithead and winding house for use with heapstead <kuid2:368725:20031:1>

This asset is compatible with the Shedmaster rule <kuid:160293:10065>. Compatibility must be set using Edit Properties in Surveyor.
