Staff, miniature electric, Pattern A
A metal staff to authorise drivers to traverse track sections protected by the Minature Electric Staff (MES) safeworking system.
Staffs protecting adjacent track sections were keyed with a different 'pattern' of the positioning of the 2 lower-profile rings on the staff. A Pattern A staff will only pass through a Minature Electric Staff Instrument configured for the same pattern.
