The ALCO Century 425 was a four-axle, 2500 horsepower (1.875 MW) diesel locomotive of the road switcher type. 91 were built between October 1964 and December 1966.The Alco C-425 Locomotive was part of the Century series marketed by the American Locomotive Company. Chicago and North Western railroad had 4 of these units, 401-404 (later renumbered 4255-4258).
