Jimmy (old)

This coal jimmy was in use from 1820 to 1900.
Trains of 100 to 200 cars were common and one train was reported pulling 593 and was about 1.5 miles long.
This version is a well used Lehigh Coal & Navigation jimmy which was leased by the Central Railroad of New Jersey. They were reported to have over 5,000 of two types.
