Old Water Mill and Fulling Mill as they existed in Budureasa, Bihor County, Romania, between 1870-1950. In the first half of 20th century, Budureasa have had about 30 locations with these kind of equipments, some only with fulling mills, flour mills or saw mills, others with both fulling mill and flour mill. A single case is cited with all the three ecquipments on the same sluice. While flour mills and saw mills were located on almost all Beius Basin's streams, it seems that Budureasa was the only village with fulling mills (mainly due to the water's quality used in the process) deserving a wide hinterland, including the shepherders' settlements from the Crisul Negru and Crisul Alb rivers basins.
