54ft C & H Sugar Celebrating 100 Years Covered Hopper

C & H Sugar was started in 1906. The California and Hawaiian Sugar Refining Company located south of San Francisco in the town of Crockett. As cargo ships unloaded the raw sugar cane from the Hawaiian Islands, they produced 67,000 tons of refined sugar and employed 490 people. Today the refinery produces over 700 thousand tons of cane sugar annually, in more than 70 types, grades and package sizes.
