Yorkshire Woolen district was connected via many various routes to the four main town centres around it namely Bradford and Huddersfield, but also to Leeds and Wakefield. This view is of Gomersal station over looking Birstall Lower Station that runs to Batley and Dewsbury, while Gomersal eastwards heads round Oakwell Hall to Birstall upper then to Gildersome amd ultimatley Leeds. Westwards Gommersal heads through Gomersal tunnel to Cleckheaton Man Dam Station down through Spen Valley into Heckmondwyke then across the Calder upto Huddersfield Station.
