LMS McIntosh Dunalastair IV

The Caledonian Dunalastairs were designed by JF McIntosh as an enlarged version of Drummonds 66 class. Using similar running gear they were fitted with an enlarged boiler to increase the steam raising ability. Later batches were continuously improved with larger boilers and eventually superheating. Apart from the first batch they were fitted with distinctive bogie tenders. This model depicts the fourth and largest variation in its unsuperheated variation.
