FR Earl of Merioneth II 1989 Condition
This 0-4-4-0 Double Fairlie was the third locomotive to be built by the Festiniog Railway Company in its own workshops at Boston Lodge. Construction began in 1972 and was completed in 1979. It carries its name Earl of Merioneth in English on one side and in Welsh Iarll Meirionnydd on the other. It was built as a replacement (incorporating the power bogies and some other parts) for No. 3 Livingston Thompson.
Crew figures by Skipper1945.
This model represents the locomotive as it was after its first overhaul when it was lined out in a more traditional style and fitted with brass domes and new chimneys (both ex Merddin Emrys).
Thanks to Paul Hobbs for his mesh library elements, some of which have been used in the model and for the great tutorials, which helped me get this model working.
Other peices of FR stock by kevmt can be found on the Ffestiniog page at http://www.trainzone.co.nz/ffestiniog.htm.
